Yet another blend motor question

[FONT=&quot]I have been looking at blend motor problems and sure enough mine has a check book symbol blahhh blahhh blahhh!!

have narrowed it down to left hand side (pax) temp motor. Seems like an owner before me has had a go as it looks like someone has chewed through plastic surround, and the motor was just hanging lose!

I have had the motor apart and the cogs teeth are all intact, I also checked the motor itself and that functions.

If however I put it back together and change the pax temp settings the motor will not turn??

Any thoughts as to what could be happening? Could the system need resetting ie clear fault before the motor will run??

The gears need to go back in the correct position otherwise the feedback potentiometer will send either incorrect or no reference voltage to the HEVAC. There is a chance that the potentiometer itself is faulty.

Ive done a search on blend motors and can't find my answer so thought i'd ask on the newest thread,

My question is how easy is it to get to the drivers side temp motor and can i remove the motor and set the flap in one position, its currantly on cold and its only a cheap p38 to get me through the winter so be happy just to have a bit of warm air dont need it to adjust as i can alway's open a window or turn the other side up.

Hi I have been doing this job today! The wood strip is a right pain to remove. I took my motor off and set the flap halfway. This equates to the 22 setting on the drivers side rather than blasting I cold air in. I intend to fix it when I have some free cash.

Wood strip? i've only got that on the passanger side which side did you do? how long did it take you ?
