Yet another 2" lift kit question.....

Hi chaps,

Having already used the search function, i know that there have been a great many threads relating to this subject, but I cant find any specific to my question.

As far as lift kits are concerned, there seems to be a great deal of differance in price, but is this differance in price reflected in a differance in quality?

if so, how does this kit; DISKIT1PFULL Full Plus 2 Inch Lift Kit for Disco 1 (without winch) from Paddocks compare? Seems to be kindas middle of the road to me, and if I did buy that kit from Paddocks, then I wouldn't have to mess about with postage as they are only down the road from me.

Also, could any old idiot fit these on their driveway?

In advance, cheers.

I belive in gettin what yer pay for, but if they're only down the road why not pop in and have a chat, and maybe see what the kit is like before you part with your beer tokens.

hi there my mate has the 2 inch lift yellow ****part springs been on his disco over a year now, he goes laning and proper offroading regular and hasnt had a problem with them, as for fitting i fitted mine in a afternoon so not that hard

Good morning.

When you refer to the '****part'ones, do you mean the ones from Paddocks?

yes he bought his from paddocks, and a few years ago i had a set on my first disco and i found them very good and cheaper than alot of other kits out there, but i quess its down to personel preference, tonks 4x4 arnt that far from you ,you could give them a ring as ifound them very helpfull when i purchased my current springs

Do they do tank protectors for the disco1 i have looked on the net and found nothing for tank protection:confused:. I thought that some one would have made a tank protector now that you can make.

Cheers Tom

Try Spencer at Guardian Off Road Products.

I bought my rock sliders, steering guard and front bumper from him. No compliants at all in terms of price, service, ease of fitting or quality of products.
