if its made of metal it can be reapired , its all down to the amount of time and patience yers got to spend on it :)

me self, am strippin mine and repairing it, then its for sale to pay for a bit of my new galvo , be ideal fer a off roader or budget rebuild !

Oh, It could of been repaired but it would not have been worth the time welding and fabricating bits up. I would have had to do repair the rest of it in a few years time where it had been rotting from the inside out... By which time there would be very little orginal metal left!

That is the problem with late 70's Series 3's... ****e metal on the chassis!

Galvo is the way forward :)

I would have got a Series 2, but the Series 3 has so much sentermental value i could not stand to watch it still and rot or sell it... :)

series 2's were the best , :) ask any old ****er that were about when they were released , they were the bollox . i knew a guy who worked fer landrover in the late 50's 60's , they were **** hot motors, cheap built 2.25 nockers , but were reliable and a farmers favorite , and the shapes still used today on defenders

there was some stuff at hixon last time i went bout 3 weeks ago, were some good bargains there too

It is... as i was reading the post i was thinking, hmm, yes i know a place which does that, and then, there it was. I will be sure to tell him he is famous (well, relatively speaking)

But he is definitely not getting any more in for now - so grab it while you can!

There must be other places which sell it though.
