black ice this morning,driving slowly (for once) ended up upside down in a tree.Luckily 2 series drivers came past,stoppes.chainsawed the tree and pulled me out into road.
The 300 ES with all the bells and whistles,my pride and joy is a write off.I got some cuts and whiplash.So,thank you to the brother/sister-hood of landies and to the wagon itself,another vehicle I wouldnt be here to post this.
Of course the fully comp insurance with all their big talk (NFU) wont get me a car to drive til monday at the soonest and then only 2 weeks if the car is writ off.Ive had to private hire a car for a week for £200 ish (cos I needed it today) to get around in cos I lives on the moor.
First-does anyone have a disco 300 to sell me,auto preferred,high spec preferred,or a 200 with a new floor and long mot?nearish cornwall?
Second-dealing with the insurance....any advise?I havent done a statement yet cos I told them I was in shock....obviously I want the payout to reflect market value and the full mot and all the recent work,and I need it quick to buy another....the car hire,surely they should be giving me something immediate?Can I claim costs back?any advice please?
