Hello gang, just signed up and thought I'd say hi...

Current truck: 3.9Efi 90 Truckcab - labour of love and it's been "nearly finished" for about 7 years..

Previous truck: 1965 SIIa canvas top - many happy memories of the old beast, many parties attended, many times slept in the back. Actually had a copper offer to swap her pursuit Volvo for it one particularly hot day - needless to say I turned her down!

Next truck: Toying with the idea of swapping the 90 for a 110 Tdi - sticking a tent on the top and doing a bit of "travelling" round the UK and Europe. Don't know if I can cope without the V8 though... might be a bit of a wrench!

Anyhoo - nice to be here!

Hello and welcome,
can you believe the cheek of theses coppers!
You probably wont be able to cope without that burble, so go for the 110 in addition.
thats my greedy opinion anyway.

Alreet wor kid... erm.. or something...

Anyway - I've uploaded a bigger version of my avatar into my gallery..

hope that works...

Must note though that this was taken shortly after being recovered from being left "in repose" for about 3 years - The bulkhead has since been welded and looks a lot better!

Paintjob was me and about 80quids worth of spray cans! heh! Needs a touch up as you can probly tell, owing to various misdeeds, one of which where it ended up on it's side, oopsy!

Well it gets a few waves and smiles...

Personally I don't think enough 90/110 drivers stick their hands up to fellow LR owners - series owners do it all the time, so why not us eh?

Thanks Take5... well I'm wondering how much I'll miss it when/if I get a 110...

The truck originally came with the NA TD which was, erm, slow and leaky. It kept on blowing various gaskets as the block wasn't really designed to take the pressure of just slapping a turbo on it. After changing the head and running it in for 1000miles at 50mph.. and then that NOT curing the problem I decided it was time for a change.

I have to say I haven't looked back since - it's a gorgeous, almost maintenance-free engine - no carbs to mess about with either, just turn the key and she goes.

Hmmm probly not helping those V8 pinings am I!? Sorry matey!
