worth more??

got a 200tdi as in the pic above, but i have just just tucked her away in my unit as the tax and mot is out and want to do some work to it before i bring it back out, i like her being in standard from but also feel the urge to give her a respray, lift, few engine mods, fit the stainless bull bars and spots i have for her etc etc, but whats bothering me is..........
is she worth more value wise standard, modded or an in between.????
am just really undecided on what to do as i do use her as a daily driver, off roader and tow vehicle picking cars up from all over the counrty with it but the milage is @ 185k so far, still strong but would prefere to buy another with a bit less on and keep tinking i shoud turn it into a toy.
any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Depends on year. mates just brought a R reg 300tdi 150K full mot, air con, cruise, 5 door, argyle model for £1895. 1 owner from new FSH. You can pick up a reasonable series 1 disco for less than £700 now.

if i took the poncey plate off it would reveal a j reg red, i have seen these go for 700 as spares or repair at some points, mine is only missing the leather interior but everything else is full spec with a mint engine, drives faultless and i consider it as a trader to be in A1 condition when my valeter has an hour or so on her. am not really after it money wise but is the market after the disco 1 for a toy these days or still a good workhorse or daily runner. she only stands me 800 quid from when i bought it 18 months ago with a full tax and mot so not concerned about a loss cause there wont be any its just a general opinion with what to do with it as i miss driving it already after a few days although i get places quicker in the jag lol its just a case of would it be worth anything if i spent a month on it toying with it? or is it worth more to me modded or standard cause i might buy a 300tdi to take her place in work.

your unlikely to get that much extra for it if you mod it. Unless you have access to very cheap lift kit, bumpers etc. My advice would be try auto trader and aim for £1300 ono. and see what sort of a response you get.

been offered more than that as it is, but yer i can get all the bits dirt cheap you see, if it was gonna cost extorsionate money i would mod it, just like the though of being proud of it for its currnet condition given the age and milage.
