woouUH! woouUH! woouUH! and is not a cat!!!

Hi Friends.
when starting a movement or driving very slowly (1st gear) forward and with the steering wheel fully turned to the left makes a noise woouUH! woouUH! When accelerating it disappears. Ideas? CV joint, transmission, VCU bearings, transfer (I hope not)?

Think that's a tight VCU...just all the drive train binding up..mine use to do it until I loosened up the VCU with new fluid.

I'd check you're tyre pressures - it may be an imbalance is magnifying rolling distance turning 1 way rather than the other.

I take it all your tyres are the same make and model.

The pressures are Ok. I have a tpms. Tyres are Ok. The noise seems from the front right wheel. If it was due to different pressure the noise would be heard with the steering wheel turned to both sides and only sounds turned to the left.
There were traces of grease in the area of the right internal transmission gaiter, but the gaiter is new, it was changed. ¿could the noise come from this area?

As I say, tyre pressure imbalance or mismatched tyres can lead to different rolling diameter and therefore different stresses depending of direction.

There are though other things as well.

The inner CVs on drive shafts can wear. On the drivers side (UK, your passenger side) this can cause its support bearing in the IRD to fail and can cause serious (not repairable) damage to the IRD. So it is worth checking that the CV is sound and there is no movement on its support bearing. Others, more technical, may offer better advice on this.
