Woodruff Keys Out

Hi, I am trying to get me woodruff keys out of my 200tdi crankshaft but they are not moving one bit. Has anyone got any tricks on how to get these out?

They usually come out with a tap or two at either end but as yours has had pounding it is stuck and almost welded in [ the oldest way of welding is hammering metal together ] Try drilling some holes into the key so a punch can grip.

Smile it looks so easy.... that will be my last option as I don’t want to damage the seals. Have ordered some freeze spray that I am going to try first.

Hi all the freeze spray worked.... would recommend this as an option if yours is putting up a fight.
