Just picked up a new spare tyre. An Insa Turbo Dakar Mud (235/70/R16) from Paddocks. Ordered Monday, delivered Tuesday all for £73 all in including VAT and delivery.
Just waiting for Bill at Autoland to get me a steel modular to put it on. I've been driving around without a spare for too long:(

Nice :) always good getting new tyres, I like the smell for some reason. I've was driving without a spare last week and it makes you all the more wary!

However I's gotta go in again this week to get my other two Maxxis for the front  then save up again for a spare Maxxis  tyre prices have rocketed recently, wish I'd stocked up on a spare set last year

What are the insa's like in the wet.

Im seriously tempted because there so god damn cheap. lol

It slung it down last Sunday and they were absolutely fine. I took it to Manchester (From Luton) in the rain and they behaved. They also self clean when used in mud (I do every weekend) but I haven't tried real clay soil yet.
I've been that impressed that I've sold my alloys with A/Ts on and only have the M/Ts now. And at £73 quid a corner, they'll do for me!:)
I rarely do more than 60MPH though

Oh! F**king nightmare! Just spent 2 hours doing 4 miles between Luton airport and the M1 so my new wheel is not with me. I fu**ing hate living near London and despite coughing up the cash my spare wheel is four miles (and ****ing light years) away. I need to move to Scotland. If they'll have me!

They are the Re-tread's if I'm right? If you got Brand spanking new ones for £73 then I'm going to the wrong tyre place :D

Ah but the price soon creeps up when the tyre size does.

Drookit only has little baby girly tyres *snigger* so there cheap. A 285/75r16 will cost yam £125 ish still.

Yes they are remoulds but that doesn't bother me one bit! We fit re-tread/re-mould tyres to aeroplanes that are speed rated to well in excess of 200MPH. I might have a Td5 but it don't go that quick! Not far off mind you:D

I'm sure if they weren't safe then they wouldn't be able to sell them :D But if they're cheaper then I wouldn't complain
