Thought I'd put these on today in the absence of the wife (then go to the pub, obviously). No fitting instructions but I thought 'how hard can it be?'
Hmmmm. Here's the gubbins. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1341131174.786370.jpg
So the four plastic clips must go on the bottom to create the hinge effect when you unpop the turntable "T" bits which go on the top, that much is obvious. And holding them on the Landy it looks like I have to drill for those top ones, but the world of split pins and every thing else there is closed to me, never used em.
Appreciate this isn't complex for many of you guys but I'm feeling my way into all this stuff so after the perfectly fair and inevitable **** taking, if anyone's done this and can provide some guidance I'd appreciate it.
If not, it'll have to be longer in the pub.

Done a few at work and a bit of a pain in the bum!

The plastic 'u' pieces are the hinges at the bottom, just a case of putting then on the light guard and holding it in place/measuring position perfectly then markin where they go. The top mountings are a little more complicated, need the larger hole in the centre for the 'T' pieces to go through to attach to the mount, from memory is 13mm then the two smaller holes for pop rivets with side, think you need smaller than normal rivets as well, there is a land rover part number for them. Again I normally attach the bottom hinges and mark the top holes using the holes in the guard itself.

On a wolf we are not worried by pin point accuracy so you may want to add some measuring to get the desired effect!

Hope this helps

lol adams right, start at the bottom hinges + work up.

i had some pikey oem chicken wire guards on mine, set with rivnuts which i had to drill out but just happened to be the right width to take the Dzues fasteners on the wolf guards -had to drill new hinge mounts at the bottom too but all in a 30min job each side.

These look so much better + bombers too ;)

the rivets for the Dzues plates are smaller which almost caught me out........

Dzus fastener that's what I was trying to remember!

Appears from the photo of bits that the correct mini rivets are there and can't see any other bits that are missing

I’m trying to tackle fitting the same guards today.

How the hell do you attach the T nut screw things? Does the part that the T bit goes into have to be on the other side of the body work?

If so, how do I get access to that part of the wing?
Can’t find any videos on it

thanks!

Really struggling to get the back part of the DZUS on the other side of the wing. How the hell do you do it, it’s driving me crazy
