Stripped the timing belt on the tratter a few weeks ago on my way to Wales for the week end smashin frashin git bag......

Anyways rebuilt the engine and for a while it was all chips and gravy but it must have slightly damaged one of the valve caps cos it kept popping off the end of the valve and the excessive play in the pushrod slowly knackered the tappet slide so woop woop I've yet again had the head off just to replace a £3.50 part

Replaced all 8 of the bastid things and all 8 valve caps whilst I'd got it in pieces:(

On the plus side I'm getting quite good at replacing head gaskets.

Moral of the story is replace them all in the first place and don't be a tight wad......

Glad it's getting everything out of the way now ready for January trip.

That's the annoying thing though pal, it's just re-doing stuff that I should have noticed first time around, I've still got to have a look at both front wheel bearings cos there's a bit of play in them. I have how ever fitted my light bar

Part of me wishes I'd bought the 400w one but this fits nicely on the front bumper just under the grille, might have to save up for a 52" curved one on the roof as well
