i have got the othe point where i am not sure what too do!!!!!

I am contemplating re-wiring the whole of the lighting system on my series 3 i have already done the rear end and run new cable to the front but taking the fuse box out has left me in a quandry its a mess behind there lots of same colour wires (greens and browns) and everthing goes to 35a fuses

so i already have a 10gang fuse board in my toolbox

do i re-wire to the existing fuses or fit the new fuse box and make a new wiring system???

well am gona do the whole series when i get to it, just trace exactly what yer need, not nesesairly using the wiring diagram , and take yer time with it, thers prob loas o **** connected that yer dont need

i'd recommend just sorting the system you need, cutting out some of the obviously redundant/weird ****e and leaving it at that. once you've boxed up the dash you'll have forgotten about the mess underneath, unless you've got OCD......

i believe the saying "opening up a can of worms" was originally derived from "opening up a series 3's dash" but the wording was changed by those of the none landy persuasions for more general everyday use. ;)

when i rewired my ser 111 i chopped off the wires for the back end where they go into the chassis under the footwell but left enough cable to run it back to behind the drivers seat, i then fitted a rubberlite junction box where i then used 7core wire from the box and ran it down under the tub in a plastic cable protector to the rear end the spare wires were left in the cable to be used for work lights ect,
