Wiring woes

Hi Chaps,

i have done some searches and not found a thread relevant. Firstly i have no diff-lock light, i read that under the centre seat there are wires that are often loose. i found 2 wires, one of which was unplugged. Assuming this was the issue i plugged it back in. still no difflock light, however now when i select reverse my nearside indicator comes on solidly. i have tried every combination of re-plugging the two wires under the center seat. nothing changed, still no difflock light and when both are connected in either combination selecting reverse gear again brings on the indicator.

please help!

Sounds like an earth fault back feeding somehow, have you checked the earths?

gearbox earth.
