Hello,
I'm looking for abit of help as I'm a total newbie at wiring and lighting and you guys seem to be the best brains in this business so I'm looking to pick them!!
I'm wanting to fit a light bar on the roof and wire them into a blanked out switch to the side of the speedo which already seems to have a wire in the back and use new latching switched so they click on, and then click off when I press it again.
Can anyone explain:
1) where the current wire goes to from behind the blank switch?
2) where do I run the wires from the lights, to?
3) just an overall wiring diagram that would help at all?
I know I'm asking a lot, so thank you in advance! :) :)
Andy,

I live about 10 minutes from Liverpool, I know it's a pain but could someone link me to a step by step of what to do?

first get a relay and an off/on switch, a couple of in line fuses, connectors and the correct rated wire. print out the relay diagram I linked. Make up the wires make sure they are long enough, and connect everything up too the relay and your lights, and switch. You can do all this in doors in the warm, label up your wires then when you're confident all is right then take it to your vehicle and install lights switchs etc.dont connect any lives just yet. double check you have everything in the right place and you dont have any bare wires that could short out.leave the fuses out for now and connect up the live and earths. then when you have checked again put the fuses in and you should have light. good luck.

Fabulous! Thank you for taking the time to wright that up!
I'd like them to work independently so I can turn them on even if the headlights aren't, but I suppose it wouldn't make much difference If headlights had to be on.
