Ok it's happened, checked the wiring for oil contamination this morning.
Plenty of oil in the red plug, iv cleaned it out with a solvent and obviously I need to change the injector harness, what do I do about the oil that's already in there?
Is it a case of just cleaning it for a few weeks?
Is it likely that the oil has damaged the ecu?
Iv not noticed anything unusual except rough running when I coast to a stop in neutral.
Could do without this. Cheers gents:doh:

If the symptoms are minimal I'd be tempted to do as little as possible. When this happened to mine I gave the multiplug at the cylinder head end a good spray with electrical cleaner and left it hanging down so as to drain the residue out, and similarly at the ecu end. I did this a few times and gradually the electrical cleaner that dripped out looked less and less oily. Some people take their ecu casings apart and try to clean inside them but this seems to me a bit of a high risk strategy if it is still working adequately.

Exactly my thoughts.
Iv read about removing and stripping Ecus knowing my look this would result in a big bill.
I'll just change the harness and clean it best I can.
Thank you !
