Wires from front of diff selector

Hi all,
Happy new year....

I have just replaced the reverse switch on my 1993 defender and noticed there is a couple of wires coming from just under the diff lock selector lever, green/brown and yellow and light green. is this for the diff lock warning light (which doesn't work on mine)
