Wipers on defender

Ok so i got my first landy the other night and already have a list of things to sort.

First thing is the wipers......im sure this is a common thing but is there any way to improve them?? They tend to just wipe what they want, sometimes they will do a full sweep but often they only seem to do half the screen and park in the middle!

google park switch. mine has wanted doing since I bought it. no intermittent wipe, no park, and now no highspeed wipe.

No sorry its not an electrical fault i dont think, seems mo like dodgy linkages or something cos sometimes one does more than the other....

For the weird sweep pattern It sounds like the wiper wheel boxes are worn and need rotating 180 degs (120 if you're a tight arse like me) allowing them to run on a fresh bit of spindle.

The not parking correctly does sound like faulty park switch.

Top tip for rotating the spindle, never thought of that. A bit like wearing your underpants backwards the second week.

You should be able to get 4 weeks outta em if you do front and back and inside out

Are the splined spindle adaptors tight on the shafts, not uncommon for them to come loose?
