Wiper Woes

Hi
On an 1988, the wipers dont part and only the sweep angle is 60 degrees. Ive replaced the switch on the motor and also replaced the motor gear with a 115 degree one - but no difference.
Can anyone offer ay advice where to look next?

all i can think of i had a morris marina a few years back and you could take the motor apart and replace where the gear starts and stops so you could make the motor cog go fearther not sure if its the same but it might be worth a try

A few years or a few decades?

The wheel box's may be worn,grab a wiper arm and see how much it will move manualy.

Are the adapters that mount the wiper arms onto the spindles tight?

Yep -the adapters are also new
