Would some kind soul take a look under their wings and show me where the earth tab attaches? I seem to have failed to take a photo of this.
Also looking for where the looms attach under the wings.
Many many thanks.

Not the best photo, but it should give you an idea.

The wiring runs along the outside edge of the top of the inner wing, just above the bolts for the arch liner. You can just about see the wire in this photo.

This photo didn’t attach for some reason.

That’s great Mick. Cheers.
Is it two of those Clips each side?
Many thanks.

Yes 2 on each side. The photo shows my new Earth wire going to an M6 SS nut and bolt. The light earths then attach to this. On the original, the Earth path was via the arch liner, through bolts, and back to the body. It’s not great and can cause all manner of issues.

Thanks for the tip. V8 above has the same note.
I’ll probably bolt the existing tab to the inner wing, with a second cable on the same bolt on the engine bay side of the inner wing going to the common earth point on the bulkhead.
Cheers.

That’s a good start, but your still relying on Earth paths through bolts and painted surfaces. If you really want to get the best from the Earth system, run another larger wire from that bulkhead Earth, down to the negative terminal on the battery.

I’ve already sorted the two large earths from the battery to the chassis and the chassis to the block. I suppose another from the battery to the bulkhead won’t hurt either.
thanks.

Don’t run one to the battery if you have sorted the battery to chassis Earth, just go to that connection. It saves wiring on the inside of the battery box.
