Wing mirror

Looking for some advice please.......

Passenger side wing mirror glass has gone missing. Having looked on FleaBay for a replacement am somewhat confused as to how they fit. Could someone point me in the right direction. It is a 98 non-fold heated type.

From what I can gather the wiring should be there on later models but you will need the mirrors and switchgear. Not sure on a car your age though. I would check the wiring if I were you to see if you have space for extra connections.

is it just the glass that's missing ? If so, there will be a pair of connectors on the back for the heated element, and the glass just clips in with a sprung loaded ring on the back of the glass onto the relevant bit of the mirror housing.

Or are the motors and so on missing too ?

If in doubt pop down to halfrauds and have a look in the packaging as to how it fits

From what you have said it is just the glass that is missing. I have the 2 connectors "flapping" about . I will indeed pop down to Halfords

I broke one recently and got a replacement from Landrover. Think I payed about £25. There are indeed a pair of connectors that just push into the back of the mirror abd then the glass just pushes onto the mirror housing.

Very easy task, just don't break the glass pushing it on, it gives, but not a lot.
