windscreen wipers

The wipers on my 1995 110 park themselves quite high up and don't seem right as they don't go all the way down. At the top of the pass they're just right. Any ideas what might be wrong?

probably, just wondered if there was any adjustment in the mechanism, I'll have a closer look and try fixing it with a new one.

you have to take the top and front panel off the dash, and then there is a linkage component that wears. Mine are worn, but i put bigger blades on, and then when its wet the extra weight flicks them back down to rest

If you can loose some of the height and you can get them off easily enough, then take them off the shaft and drop them back one spline. That will at least make them park a bit lower as they can be a pest if they are sitting high.
