Windscreen washer hose

Does anyone know what size of hose connects to the washer pumps?
I need to buy some new hose and unions/stops, whatever you call the little plastic bits that stop the water flowing out unless the pump is activated.
There's soooo many different sizes of hose, last thing I need is to buy 10 meters of the stuff to find out it'd the wrong size ; )
Do you also know if I could use it for bleeding the brakes, is it the same size hose that fits the bleed nipples on the calipers?

Hose is 4mm inside dia and the plastic bit is a non-return valve and no the hose will not fit the bleed nipples for that u require something like 6 or 7mm ideally rubber.

I used 6mm od / 4mm id silicone rubber tubing, intended for food / fish tanks.
Nice and flexible and doesn't harden over time.
Try yer local pet shop - they do fittings and valves as well.

4mm inside diameter. Not often I'll do this, but Halfrauds sell it in packs and the non-return valves as well - dont get a universal pump from them though as the electrical connectors wont fit......

Or, do like me and get yersell down the scrappies - I fill my pockets with this type of stuff every trip!

Cheers guys, I have ordered 10 meters of it from t'internet for the same price as about 1m from Halfrauds but bought the non return valve from Halfrauds

well i was thinking the same
halfords do the stuff as said and it can be made to fit blead nippels with some hot water thats what i did when i was back bleading my clutch with a washer pump
