Hi Guys,
I have the entire dash of my Landy stripped out looking for rust and to go though wiring, change and upgrade some components etc.
I also decided to take out the windscreen which took me less than 10 mins to cut the seal and pop it out.
I was extremely happy that I did not find a speck of rust anywhere. The factory paint look like new both behind dash and all around windscreen seal locations in and out.
Since I am so far in the strip down, do you guys think it's wise to pull the windscreen frame to change the upper and lower seals and to look for rust at the same time?
Not sure if I can get the seal here, however there is a very good compressible rubber foam weather seal made for commercial doors and windows of which I have tons.
Would you guys think this would be a good substitute for a seal, taking into consideration I might use a film of flexible silicone too?
Thanks Mates.
