Window stuck in Newquay somewhere ...

Not me, my mate Tim, top-cat on here, is on the first few days of his family holiday in the Newquay area and his Disco 2 drivers side window has broken, and needs a weld or couple of spot welds if anyone is in the area!! It's not life-threatening, it's not urgent, but he'd be happier if the hole in the door had a window in it ..

He isn't in an area with much signal strength so if anyone could help, please just post here and I'll try to relay it.

He's got the door card off and the 'parts' in his hand apparently now, and has jammed the window up with cardboard, but a man with a welder would still be very welcome, he thinks it'll just break the glass if it drops again.

I don't have a welder unfortunately. However, my son works at a garage in Doublebois and does welding. It's about 40 minutes from Newquay though. I'm sure he'd be happy to help.

If Stoatie doesn't sort it, my mate would. He has a good mig, it is a few miles from here, about twenty from Newquay. He would probably be able to do it tomorrow afternoon. PM me if it is ongoing. Or I can PM a phone number?

A good trick with windas is one or two of those rubber door wedges - that's wots recommended when yu need to change a motor.
