hi
my partner has just rang me and she says the rear door window of my 3 door Freelander has gone fully down while she was away from the car and now wont go back up!! anyone any idea what could be the issue please?

On the three door there is a micro switch to tell the ccu that the roof is on or off - when the roof is removed this switch tells the ccu to drop the tailgate window...maybe this is faulty..not sure where it is maybe a 3 door owner can tell you.

also its worth checking the battery terminal connections are nice and tight.
 
hi, iv had the car only 3weeks and never took the roof off. its been fine up until today. going to check the battery n remove door card etc when it finally gets home. would chuffing happen on a bank hol weekend lol
 
right! cars home and the chuffing window is working fine. goes up down left and right lol. so cant fix what aint broke lol. fingers crossed it stays working. thanks for the replys
 
if you wind it down you can stop it at any point and it will stay there but to wind it back up you must go up to the top in one go or it will just go back down again hope this helps
