I am fitting a new door top to my Series III and I need to re-use the existing glass. The sliding bit has come out easily but the fixed bit is held tight by sealant where the glass touches the door.

How do I get this released and is there a better way of fixing the glass in the future to avoid this problem?

Thanks

use a thin flexible scraper or blade and be carefull not to chip the glass, also make a note of the spacings, as new channels and ally bits dont always line up, i had the same problem... good luck..

I used the scraper method and after an hour fiddling & faffing got the glass out.

Thanks to all
