I hope its not the turbo!!!
On tick over all sounds and appears fine. When driving however as I start to accelerate it sounds like wind blowing in through the passenger air vents. No apparent loss of power but the "wind" type noise continues as i accelerate through the gears.

Any thoughts or suggestions on this?

Thanks for that. Thats three replies all indicating the same thing. I got it booked into the local Landrover Dealer tomorrow. I just assumed they would be the best qualified to deal with this. Am i due a fleecing with the repair costs?

Parts would probably cost less than £20, they'll probably try to charge you a couple of hours at hmmmmm say £50/h + VAT - they might even try to tell you the turbo is broke (it might be) even if it isnt - that'll be big bucks.

Get a manual (or a real LR) and work it out what needs changing yourself.

I live in a little village ere and me local spanner head only charges £25/h - he doesnt go out much, doesnt have a Tv or PC so probably doesnt know what others charge out in the real world - and no one ere is gonna tell him.

I thought double his rates might be nearer to real world charges, apparently not.

I'm sure McVities are putting less chocolate on their chocolate digestives these days.

Good news on the repair and the costs. Two turbo hoses replaced with a total bill of £100.
Thanks for advice guys - Chris
