Looking for people to post photos of their winch wiring installs as I am about to tackle mine but really want to see what other people have done with theirs for some ideas.

Thanks in advance.

Google!
Or search
Youtube

All off the above
Plus if you bought new there should be instructions

Got full instructions thanks, and did no end of google searching and watching of youtube and very few pictures or ideas that grabbed me, if it is just wiring it in then no problemo, but I have seen some real works of art as far as wiring goes and thought someone might be poud of their install and want to share some pics to give me inspiration for neat and tidy solutions for entering the engine comprtment and gromets, clips, isolators etc,.

If its a disco one try and use plenty of cable ties and dont just leave the wires to rub again anything ,
Isolators quite easy just depends where you want it
Rather have it so you have to open bonnet or have it on the front grill for outside access,
with mine I only have a wander lead but I am wanting to fit an in cab switch
I guessing if you got it new like with mine all solenoid wiring was already done
And its simply running a pos and neg to the battery
ive bought a isolator off ebay that cones with an extra bit off cable so am simply connecting the pos of the winch to that and then the extra cable to battery
Mines located next to the under bonnet fuse box so have to open bonnet
But thats just easy enough if im going laning extra
But if its an offroad car or not you daily might be easier on the grill so you dont have to open bonnet
Nostly its personal opinion
But as I said make sure you route the cables properly

Quick question are you running 2 batterys ?
Or 2 alternators ect
If ur like me 1 alternator 2 batterys
My advice would be to connect winch to the battery which the alternator goes to

Here's some pics from my D2 wire up, pretty standard tbh...

The blue wire heads into the passenger compartment to a lit rocker switch, this has a feed from the ignition live on the passenger fuse box - so basically the winch can only be powered with key in pos II and/or engine running.

This is ignition live feed (blue connector on the right):

It's been tidied up a bit since then, the black boxes are temp fit of Nokia bluetooth kit, and a Zadatech multiguage system for monitoring boost, EGT, and coolant temp.
