winch help

hi all
my x9 winch decided to pack up today so i have been looking at one of these;
RECOVERY WINCH 12V 4x4 13000 lb WINCHMAX BRAND | eBay

has anybody had any experiences with one of these?

If you're going down this route, I'd say this is the better buy for an extra £95 with its synthetic rope:

ive got one, decent bit of kit, gets well used and not let me down. Pay the extra though and buy the one with the rope instead of wire.

its quite old so i thought maybe it would be better to go for a new one!

i have only used it once in the 6 months i have had the discovery

so i may even change the winch bumper for a tubular non winch one

Do you want to sell it cheap? In broken condition?

I have no idea what's wrong with it, or even if it's repairable, but I want/need a winch and I've much more time on my hands than cash!!

The one I posted up went for just over £500

Saying that I have got one now. It needs a rebuild badly but only cost £523 on flebay.

there good and a strong pull it just takes about 3 weeks per pull they are verrrrrrrrry verrrrrrrrrry slow
