redhand if you have ever tried to use a capstan on your own you would know why

i have used a capstan on me own before it were to pull an old spreader out of a hedge
how many arms you got sean?
did you carry out a dynamic risk assesment first ?

aye i looked at the spreader though thats gotta be shifted, then i got a gert big rope tied it to the hitch, made a double loop round the capstan set me revs on me hand throttle popped the transfer box in neutral stuck the main box in 2nd, pulled the lever on the capstan and then took the strain
it was a hydraulic capstan on a series 2a hence the gear selection
