P38A Will this FIP be an OK replacement for my FIP

Hi All,

Well have made it home but now have the decision to make about how to stop the pump leaking.

1) Scrap car.
2) Buy one of these:

It has the right part number 0460406994 but feel nervous about the fact range rover isn't listed. I have asked the seller.
3) Have ago at fixing the seals (I think not)

I will also contact PF Jones tomorrow and see if they have any in and what the cost would be.

There has been a guide on here on replacing the seals and they are not expensive its worth a go and less hassle than trying to time the replacement pump, and if it all goes tits up replacement pump it is worth a go in my book.

Seal kit is about £16 and someone did a How To. Biketeacherdave? Mark up in multiple places on multiple planes so it goes back in exactly the same place.

Refurbed pump is about £700.

That is the correct pump. But i would look at Diesel Jones first.

Thanks guys. I think I will investigate the seals route first. At least I can do a plan b and fit a recon pump if I am not successful with seals.
