Hi guys
Tomorrow i'm fitting my new Zeus front disc brake conversion and the way i've seen the posission of the calipers ( below central ) i just wonderd if i could fit the caliper plates so the calipers are posissioned higher than central if you know what i mean :)

How would you do that?
Homemade brackets? NO!!!!

How would it make a difference? I honestly don’t think it’s worth the hassle, and wouldn’t mess with brakes with homemade bits, Personally:)

I don’t know the kit pics.

Looking at the installation pics here cannot see any reason why you cannot rotate clockwise to the next bolt hole upwards.
Fit it on and check what has changed .

Thanks for that.

So no need for any homemade stuff that’s a relief .
The only difference I can see is that the little hard line brake pipe, (do they supply 1) if they don’t and you have to do it then it makes no difference from what I see, but I don’t see any gains just by moving it round/up a bit:)

Clocking the brackets clears the filter hole.

Ordinarily, the filler bung has to be replaced with an allan key version, which IS supplied, and can then removed with a ball end Allan key.

The best way is to swap the swivel ball housings, side to side, so the filler is to the front of the axle, not the back. Clocking bracket will work to clear the filler, no idea about safety or efficiency, nor bleeding of calipers. Certainly not on a public forum.

I would only make changes if they are approved by Zues. You would need to now why it is as it is before you made changes and only they know that. Once you change it it becomes your design and you may not want that. Ask them and accept their answer.

Yeah i will fit them as they are meant to be fitted it was just that on other similar makes the calipers are normally pointing up but on the Zeus pic it shows them pointing down so i will fit them as it shows, like everyone has said not worth messing with.

The fitting brackets seem to have the holes at very specific positions, rather than arbitrarily aligned with the edges of the brackets. They must have done that for a reason. Might be as simple as ensuring the callipers can be bled properly, but if it were me, I'd certainly be going along with their suggestions.
