Will a V8 power steering pump bolt on to a 300tdi ?

Hi Landowner,
New to this site. Put a recent 300tdi into my Disco 1 wouldn't let me run the original power steering pump off the 3.9L that I had in there.
It would fit in there for sure, but I had to get the right pump for the 300tdi. Beats me why, they look identical and the pipes in and out are in the same place and the bolt holes line up as well. Just wouldn't build any pressure.
We did the full bleed, full stops both ways, wheels off the ground, figure 8's in the lot, no joy. Finally ordered the right one from L.R.Series and had them ship it out my way.
Dropped it in started her up and she self primed. No busting a knuckle trying to bleed it or anything. Works like a charm now. Oh what a joy
If you aren't pressed for time on this install, give it a wing. It might work for you.
