does anyone know of any places to wild camp in the derbyshire/peak district area thats accessable by landy?

The only place where you can legally wild camp in England is Dartmoor. Unless you ask first you are trespassing. Wild camping by hikers is usually overlooked as long as they are in truly desolate areas and move on after a night. Driving up in your landy is a bit to obvious ask first

thanks for that info, think ill have to do a reccy around the lanes near me and seek permision, dont want no farmer running after me brandishing a 12 bore

we've wild camped in wales before. just stopped on a lane ontop of a mountain and pitchef up. met some nice friendly horseriders walking past in the morning. technically its not legal tho. Did think i saw somewhere that you can legally pull over within 7m of a highway??

so really if im out of harms way, ill prob be ok? spoke to a few ppl locally today and was told that a blind eye will be turned if the area is left as i found it, have to wait for the better weather though, snowing here at the mo!

Trouble is, you can't legally off-road on dartmoor. You might get some interesting attention in the night from squaddies on exercise as well! And the weather's crap. I'd stick to the Peak District.:D:D:D
