Well the Discovery is an excellent off roader with two (I think) locking diffs and good traction control

toyota comes with manual locking diffs but you cant tell if the driver has activated them, it may only have centre diff locked, Discovery in its rock setting locks its centre and rear diffs automatically, the VW I can't comment on
