Ho Ho. Many people have described my land rover as a bit of a dog, but no cat under the bonnet.
They're blackbirds - not that I would have known, but that's what the mother is.
Fortunately I keep the battery terminal off when it's parked up otherwise I wouldn't have opened the bonnet before starting it - so after taking the picture I closed it again. The mother flies in and out under the wings (landrover wings!) so should hopefully be safe from cats etc.

Yep all gone now. Engine bay hosed out and land rover moved, don't mind not moving it for a month or so, but one clutch is enough for any land rover.

Fledged = leave the nest. Blackbird chicks do it early when they can only just fly some, they then spread themselves around in the shrubbery. This reduces the chance of the whole brood being wiped out in one go. Parent keeps feeding them for a while longer.

Know that. I was inquiring if they had fledged. Seems the clutch has been released .
