Have you double checked you've got all the cables connected properly, in the back corner of ya landy?

The rear lights connect to the main harness at that bundle of connections at the back of your landy on the offside corner.

At the rear, inside, offside corner. that's where your main harness should emerge. If you've got a multi-meter, do what Dippypud ^^^ suggests.
