Managed to pull the bonnet realease catch clean off! Ordered a new cable but is it easy enough to change over?

Remove your front grille completely....Get your hand up and inside below the slam panel. You,ll find the end of the release cable or you should find the bar if the cable has ripped out complete. Just move the bar to the left and it unlocks the bonnet.
Being doing this since october wea ma 90 and i,ve only just ordered a new release spring and latch

i have a spare wheel on my bonnet so the release cable does jack all. i just put my hand into a small hole in my front grill and move the lever to relase
