Which would you do?

Got a new Janspeed Stainless Cat back exhaust in the post.
Just looked under the old girl and all the nuts holding the old one on are corroded to feck. All look as if they will need to be ground off. Would you spend half a day laying on your back with an angle grinder or give a spotty oik in the local kwikfit an hours work???

Take it to kwik fit. I did just the rear section of my Classic recently, and even that took a couple of miserable filthy hours.

I just changed the exhaust and manifolds on my rrc to powerflow,
I had the same problem so i just put a big rachet on them and snapped
them of then put new bolts and rubber hangers on, not that any of the hangers
lined up but it was worth the messing about, it sounds awesome.
I wouldnt pay to have it done, itll take you ten mins to snap em of.

Personally i would send it back when it comes. Then go to Kwik fit and get a proper exhaust on it for half the cost.

Charlie Browns are owned by the same people as Kwik-Fit. At Charlie they do not fit the parts fetched by the customer....
I have the above mentioned exhaust on my car and I am very happy with it, the fitting was simple and you should not worry about a few rusty bolts.

buy the whole janspeed system but put a straight through pipe
in place of the centre box, itll sound like a v8 should.

The original Janspeed sound very nice....I would not want it louder.

And the correct answer is ................ get some other fecker to do it.
Wot a pain in the arse. Had the old one off quick enough through the use of an angle grinder and a large hammer, but getting the new one on the hangers was a right bitch.
Should prob have bought new ones as they are likely more pliable but the old ones looked fine also the little hooky tool Ed uses on Wheeler dealers would have come in handy. Must say it dont alf sound good tho.
