Back to my thoughts on winches.... then I will drag these American bashing idiots to a different thread.
The PTO winches are built better which is why all the militaries of the world have them on the trucks. But, the military also has thousands of trucks with winches so it does not matter if one gets stuck and blows the motor; they have more trucks and winches to assist in the recovery. Most of us only have one truck in the field at a time and when all of your friends are stuck and have mechanical trouble, your electric winch will still operate. And then they owe you a round at the pub instead of the other way around.

Wales is a small country, like Scotland, which, although physically attached to England, likes to run itself, but has to be financially subsidised by England, because they dont pay enough taxes to be be properly independant.

I was merely pointing out that, although you pay the same level of taxes in Wales and Scotland; due to the lower population density, those two countries have to be subsidised by the overcrowded English to enable you to have the same level of services enjoyed by the English.
