Looking for a bit of advice...... What's the best Mig welder on the market at around 5 to 6 hundred £..........I did have an SIP 150 turbo and just sold it as it was coming up to 5 years old and I thought it was time to replace it......Perhaps I should have kept it as it was working Fine.....But Hey!..... That's Life!..... Been told that the Portamig 185 is a good machine but thought I'd ask and see what you Boys ( and Girls ) are using.... Something around 185 Amp should be big enough.
Regards Splut!

Portamig has got to be one of the best in that price range. Weldquip is very helpful. The units are built to order in this country. Cebora would also have be worth checking out but they are more expensive.

Thanks for the info Squizzel..I will have a look at the link.. With that much cheap rubbish coming into the country from China it's a job to know what's good and what's not..Of course you find out later when you have bought it and it stops working and then you can't find anyone to fix it but by that time it's too late........
