Totally agree about the BFG AT's,had them on my Disco 1 and have loads of customers with Defenders on them, farmers, tree surgeons fencing contractors etc getting huge mileages out of them and good off road grip too.Trouble is they don't make them for 18" rims, which is why I ended up with the General Grabber AT's.I have plenty of D2 and D3 customers using them, good mileage, but not quite as good off road as the BFG's.The GG's are also very quiet on the motorway and don't follow tramlines.

I'd fit bf ATs if my LR was for mainly road use, never heard anybody have problems, or slate them, I've been green laning with a defender with them fitted, they put my nexen ATs to shame!

ah go on then..

on my fender i quite fancy trying hankook dynapro mt that everyone went on about a few years back and kumho kl71s

I run the Hankook MTs on mine and love them. So much so I'm just about to go up a few sizes and have ordered Hankooks again. Was tempting to try something else but they've been awesome so why bother!

Look at the Euro specs for wet grip, fuel consumption & noise. Just fitted Nexen Rodians to my P38, impressed so far, very quiet and good directional stability. Wil2813 on LZ sell tyres, PM him for a price. Twas he that recomended the Nexens.

I fitted 255/55/18 General AT2 good around tyre on and off road as my D2 spends a lot of time across the farm fields, the trouble is there's not a great choice of makes in 18" did think about changing to 16" but liked the look of the bigger wheels
