As I said in an earlier post unless your doing extreme offroading a disco will go everywhere a 90 will. Having owned a disco and currently own a 90. And driven plenty of other landrovers in my time,. I don't have a passion for either. Both do a bloody good job. and there really isn't any difference in ability unless you get into extreme driving.

Hang on, a standard Disco against a standard 90? If they were both standard, the lesser approach & departure angles of a Disco become irrelevant as once the 90 had approached an obstacle requiring such an extreme angle it'd have no more chance of scaling it in standard trim than the Disco would.

People prattle on about 90's having the edge over Disco's, but it's such a small edge it's a pointless debate.

This whole thread is fairly pointless FFS. Best Landrover ever? For what, using what criteria?

Rust resistance? Resale value? Ability to carry Sheep? Most likely to command respect if you're a drug dealer? Off road ability? On road ability? Least likely to lose it's doors in the rain? Prettiest?

If in answer to the question 'which is the best land rover ever' you don't answer "mine" you've obviously just bought the wrong one. ;)
