which engine is best

I need some ideas on what engine I should replace my series 2a with at the moment I have a perkins 2.5 tid but when I move back to africa I cant get parts for it so Im thinking about the toyota 2.4 to replace it with. any one with one of these

Where exactly in Africa? Toyota spares can be just as difficult to find in some area's. If you are going to the bother and expense of shipping the Series to Africa then get your money's worth out of the freight costs and consider getting those hard to get spare parts before you go.

a mate of mine installed toyota 3c moter wich is a 2.4 tdiit is a secondhand jap imported,szells for R6500 in south africa really good motor.considdering it myself,but think i will stay origanal. a local parts suppleier gave me a part satocklist for full landy 2.25 petrol recon they stock everithing will cost 5000 zar to recon. not woth going through conversion at that price. if its made for x make it x+ not z
