Fate has a funny way of turning up these days. I thought I had just purchased a 1994 tdi auto only to be told that it has a serious mechanical problem and has been withdrawn from sale even though I have paid for it.

So Im after a discovery again, but which one petrol v8 or diesel?

Any suggestions please.

Thanks
Harry

If I was going to buy another, I'd hunt for a V8 auto with LPG.
I'm tight and lazy!

i am very happy with my diesel had her 3 years but as last post said if you want v8 try for a lpg goodluck

Thanks Guys,

My thoughts were v8lpg auto also, well auto at least. Mainly going to be used on the road, with a bit of muddy play time thrown in for good measure.

Thanks
Harry

It's all horses for courses though, what do you want to used if for?

I've a diesal manual now and it's great, it's only really a weekender used for towing and getting in and out of farmers fields, but still spends most of the weekend stuck in traffic.

For me, like I said, if I bought another, it'd be V8 auto with LPG and the best trim and most toys and could afford!

I wise old man once said to me though, "don't buy the first one you see"
So check all models out and insist on driving them, even if they're above your budget, you'll have a clearer picture at the end of the day, and the good news is there's so many up for sale at the moment your choice isn't limited and with a cheeky grin price won't be a problem.

My beautiful '94 300tdi auto is for sale on Ebay (item number 200095106407), as I am moving lock, stock and barrel to the Czech Republic. Take a look, it is in superb condition and comes with a private number plate HIS TRK. If you want to make me an offer around £3500, I'll consider it.
