Which compression tester?

I am in the market for one of the above but having never used one before I'm a bit bewildered at the selection I have available. Can anyone recommend a good diesel compression tester for a 200tdi that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I'm looking at a silverline diesel compression testing kit on Amazon at the moment but its 60 bloody quid :what:

Looks not bad actually. Comes with glow plug adapters and goes up to 1000psi

I'm in the same boat but for a 3mb 2.25 diesel... so imperial threads

There are so many choices I have no idea where to start - I don't want to spend a fortune but can't afford to buy ****e

Yes and no. A vehicle mechanic I know at a local army unit has one but not the adapter for a 300tdi (which I hope is the same size as mine). Luckily enough I do have the adapter so I've said he can have it if I can borrow the tester and he's happy with that

Lol give vinnie a shout. I think plenty compression testers will do the job but I couldn't justify spending 60-80 quid on one when i won't use it too often. The one im borrowing is made by dieseltune
