right ive got to replace one of my tyres which has worn out on the 18" hurricanes. so off i go this morning and i cant believe ive spent the good part of today looking for a frigging tyre! the rest of the set has pirelli scorpions str's on so really i what another one to keep them all the same ( I know sounds abit like ive got OCD!) but every garage and tyre supplier says they havent got any and they are all on back order from pirelli! A couple of places said they had them only to ring me back and say no, so dont bloody advertise on your website you do!!!!!

So i've decided (been thinking of doing it for a while) to stick the orginal 16" rims back on, now ive just checked them and they need two tyres(this is where you guys help!) ive heard alot about the general grabber at2's are they any good? What i'd like is a sort of off-road nobbly looking tyre on them so i will replace the two first then in a few months get another two. the 16's have bf goodrich's on at the mo.

So guys im asking for any ideas on 16" tyres, Thanks!

Got Goodyear Wrangler M+S tyres on mine, seem to do the job although I've been told they won't be great in deep snow or on ice? But I've driven in light snow and on ice and they seem fine to me!

Got 16" at2's on mine, great tyre, in fact we have them on all our motors.

Let me have a look in the garage tomorrow I might have a scorpion in there

just swapped my 18" hurricanes last week put the 16" winter/off road tyres on ( shooting season is here)
got 2 Bf Goodrich All terrains on the back, they are brill, not been stuck yet with them and i live on a farm with lots of mud now the snow has melted.

Reckon it also drives better on 16" doesn't tramline as much either

a friend has Bf goodrich Mud terrains which he said are brill, not too noisy on the road, only problem he has had is coming out of the field with loads of Mud in the treads, he booted it hard and spun his fourtrack as the back just broke away

I found the Scorpion STRs to be awful on my 18 inch Hurricanes.

I only bought them because the tyre place insisted they were STs (which I had spent the whole day on the phone trying to find) and I didn't notice until they had fitted them. My Rangey was downright dangerous with these on so I took them back and swapped them for a set of General Grabber AT2s which have been absolutely brilliant in all conditions.

thanks for all your input guys, im starting to sway towards the general grabbers but as i cant get an 18" pirelli scorpion str for the moment im going to have to put the 16" wheels on and get replacement goodrichs. (got alot of driving to do this week).

Long term thinking though is to keep the 16" wheels on and get at2's on, i only got the 18" hurricanes as they do make the p38 look alot better. The 16" wheels ive got are probably the worse ones in my opinion to go on the p38 but i remember it handling alot better on them.
