Freelander 1 Where to monitor V6 coolant temp

Following on from Mad Hat Mans idea to monitor the temp of my Freelander V6 coolant (few months ago) I've bought a device, which has 2 temps sensors. I plan to use one to measure the coolant coming out of the thermostat, flowing towards the top radiator intake. As the device has 2 temp sensors, is there another temp reading, which would be a helpful to monitor?

I'd say that the other sensor would be useful to monitor the pipe heading out to the heater matix. The theromstate output will only get hot when the thermostate opens. It would be useful to see what the coolant temperature is doing all the time.

Or maybe somewhere on the Auto box cooling circuit.
