id avoid comparison sites and try specialists such as lancaster and flux

seen some recent recommendations on here for diamond for girls too

Its because you are under 25. I used Diamond which came out as the cheapest with breakdown cover. But mine is an old 2.5 petrol engine, things may be different for a TD5.

To be fair to flux, I'm 21 and my insurance is under half of that quoted value.

Then again I have 4 years no claims.

Yeah I can imagine the no claims helps a lot. Flux wasn't a terrible price for being 21 and 0 no claims but there were better quotes out there
