Thanks,Firstly, Welcome.
The title mention 2017 yet you say "older 110".
Many use this as a resource for parts numbers Lrcat

Thanks,
Very useful, Just latest 110 in this catalog is 2006 model.
Maybe you should have kept the Land Cruiser! This is my 1st. Land rover, all the time I was driven by Toyota landcruiser j150.
My defender model is 1983, but I'm trying to rebuild it from scratch.
Idea is to fit M57 6hp or 8hp drivetrain.

The one I have 83' will remain as is. I just need the V5. and keep the VIN cut out of it.
New build one is starting from brand new chassis and all the parts will be from latest model.
Yes I'm aware of how difficult is to complete similar project, but it wont be the first one
There were many discussions online regarding keeping your VIN and using brand new chassis or body for Defenders.
So answer is yes and no. I remember reading Marsland chassis can hit your VIN from V5 provided.
Haven't found donor yet, would like to get 7 seat body. or do it panel after panel.
My one is already exempt , so no more MOT's. Its not for business purpose it's for private use and joy .
If you change everything on the vehicle, it will invalidate Historic Status and exemptions, and you should re-register it.My one is already exempt , so no more MOT's. Its not for business purpose it's for private use and joy .

There is a points based system, and each component changed has a value in points.
Also, you can't upgrade everything to a "modern" one, as none have been built since 2016.
And changing everything on a 1983 One Ten to parts from a 2016 Puma is going to be very expensive, and a lot of work.
And I fail to see what you are going to gain from this, it would be easier to go out and buy a Puma if that is what you want.
Why not restore it as a 1983 One Ten?Thanks,
Most of the point make sense. Will have a think what route to take.
Many thanks for info.
